Color grading
Save looks and animate a grade
Use Gallery stills, reference wipes, copy/paste, and per-node numeric keyframes.
Grab a still#
Grab still saves a Viewer frame and the current clip's resolved grade in the local Gallery. Select a still for a movable reference wipe, or apply its grade to another clip. Reference images retain the canvas aspect ratio at a 960-pixel width; they are not full-resolution media exports.
The Gallery is stored locally in IndexedDB, outside individual projects. It is not automatically synchronized to another device or included as a portable PowerGrade library.
Copy a look#
Copy/paste grade and Gallery apply transfer the values resolved at the current playhead, including the evaluated values of animated controls. They do not transfer the original animation timing. Choose a representative frame before copying a moving grade.
Animate a numeric control#
- Open Keyframes and choose a supported control.
- Add the first keyframe at the local playhead time.
- Move the playhead and adjust the value.
- Use Add/Update with linear or hold interpolation as appropriate.
- Scrub the local timeline and review the keyframe list.
Once a parameter is animated, ordinary palette adjustments update or add its value at the current local time. Delete unwanted keyframes from the list. Resetting the node removes its numeric animation.
What remains static#
Curve shapes and LUT contents are static. Automatic tracking, grade versions, remote grades, shared nodes, PowerGrades interchange, and multi-image split screen are not available. Use the reference wipe and node bypass for practical comparisons.
