Export WAV, stems, and a loudness report
Choose sample rate, bit depth, tails, normalization, and separate track/group files.
Choose the audio format#
Open the Audio workspace's Export inspector. Stereo WAV export supports 44.1, 48, and 96 kHz with 16-bit PCM, 24-bit PCM, or 32-bit float encoding. Choose settings that match the delivery workflow; a higher sample rate does not recover detail missing from the source.
Set the tail and level#
Choose 0–30 seconds of extra tail for reverb or delay decay. Keep current levels or normalize the stereo mix to −14, −16, or −23 LUFS. The normalizer only adds as much gain as a −1 dBTP ceiling permits, so a dynamic mix can remain below the chosen loudness target.
Include stems#
Include separate track and group stems creates timeline-aligned files with their channel/group effects, sends, and original sidechain inputs. Stems omit master processing and preserve original relative gain. Muted or non-soloed tracks render silence, matching the mixer.
Shared nonlinear group/return processing means summing wet stems may not perfectly reproduce the complete mix. Include the stereo render as the reference and communicate whether the receiving engineer should rebuild bus processing.
Find the result#
On macOS, audio files and a JSON loudness report are saved in a new folder under Downloads/Editor Exports. In a browser environment, the stereo mix downloads as WAV; a mix plus stems downloads as an uncompressed ZIP. Review the files and report after export.
